Black Friday 2016: Jeremy Clarkson’s Grand Tour will get you £20 off Amazon Prime

It’s finally upon us, sort of. After months of waiting, The Grand Tour, the true successor to Top Gear is going to be aired this week on Amazon Prime Video. As expected, the new show will see Richard Hammond, James May and Jeremy Clarkson driving exotic cars in far away locations – and it should feature a good dose of all the humour we’ve come to expect from the trio.

To celebrate Black Friday and the imminent launch of its brand new car show, Amazon is offering a great deal on its Amazon Prime service. Amazon Prime costs £79 per year normally, but the ecommerce giant is knocking £20 off the price, bringing it down to a even more reasonable £59 per year.

Of course, Amazon Prime lets you watch the Grand Tour, but it also gives you free delivery on all Amazon products, access to Prime Video’s many other shows and – as of yesterday – reduced price on Amazon Unlimited Music, the new Spotify rival the company just launched. With a Prime membership, it will be £7.99 per month, which is cheaper than Apple Music .

Everything else you need to know

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May will be returning to the car world as a trio come 18 November 2016 when every episode of The Grand Tour goes live on Amazon Prime Video.

The 18 November release date was made public in a teaser trailer from Amazon showing off a sneak peak of the things we can expect from the show.

How to watch The Grand Tour

Currently there’s only one way to watch The Grand Tour and that’s via Amazon’s on-demand streaming service Amazon Prime Video. As the name implies, you’ll need to be an Amazon Prime member to gain access to Prime Video, although non-Prime members can also gain access with a monthly fee. Obviously, it’s cheaper and better to sign up to Amazon Prime if you want to watch The Grand Tour rather than opt for the standalone subscription.

As with many shows that premiere on Amazon, it’s likely we’ll see The Grand Tour make its way onto television at some point in the future too – although its Transparent series has still remained solely on Prime Video.
